Beach

Friday – We left for the beach Friday afternoon.  I got off work early and we headed down south.  James Darren and I rode to Montgomery with Agogo and Pops where we meet Darren at work.  Friday night we stopped and ate dinner at Lambert’s!  We ate so much (this was a recurring them for the weekend) but it was so good.  I didn’t even eat any of my meal just the “pass a rounds.”   We got to our hotel at the beach about 9’oclock that night.  We had to unpack our cars and suitcases because they were so full you could not find anything!!!

Saturday – Darren got up and ran 13 miles.  Agogo, James Darren, and I did 3 miles.  We came back, ate some breakfast, and headed to the beach!!! James Darren loved the water.  He had such a good time playing and sticking his whole face in at times.  I had a minor meltdown when I realized my camera didn’t have a memory card in it.  However, I was reminded that they have Wal-Mart in Gulf Shores too.  After lunch we went to the pool which was another first for James Darren.  He liked it as well however he was so tired he kept slumping over in his float.  Auntie Sarah was coming to join us that evening.  While we were waiting Darren and I ran to Wal-Mart to get a memory card and a few other things.  Agogo also gave James Darren a bath in the tub while we were gone, another first (we still bathe him in the sink).  Once  Auntie Sarah got there we went to the Original Oyster house for dinner.  Darren completed the Man vs. Food challenge. 

 Sunday – first thing we did was go out and take some family pictures in the sand before the beach was covered with people.  Then we came inside, changed, and went to play in the water.  That afternoon we went to the pool and then back out to the ocean.  For dinner we went to eat at Cosmos and had some very amazing food!

Beach Baby

Monday – yep, you guessed it we got up and went to the beach.   Agogo went out really early then James Darren, Darren and I joined her.  We walked on the beach for a while. We saw a great blue heron, dolphins, and jellyfish.  We played in the pool for a while before packing up and checking out of our room.  But don’t worry we were not done at the beach.  We went to the Pink Pony for lunch and then out to the public beach for a few hours.  After leaving the beach we went and walked on the Gulf State Park Pier.  We saw all kinds of fish and rays.  James Darren slept in the front pack on Darren the whole time.  Bless his heart we wore him out this weekend.  That evening we went to the Wildlife walk to try and see some alligators but we did not see any.  Then we headed to Lulu’s for dinner. Then we headed back to Auburn.

We had a fabulous trip and enjoyed every minute!  It was a great trip and we can’t wait to go back which is why we didn’t come home until after midnight Tuesday morning.  Sorry for all the pictures but I think our baby is pretty cute so I posted a bunch J
